Company History

Established in 1995, B Guarded has steadily progressed into a security company having a wide and varied base of customers. Managing Director and Chief Engineer, Peter Bullock, decided to make use of his extensive knowledge and experience as an alarms engineer, together with electrical qualifications gained from a five-year apprenticeship, to found the company in January 1995.

Based in Framingham Pigot this home-based company offers a range of services from the supply, installation, upgrade and maintenance of all kinds of Intruder Alarm Systems (e.g. Security, Fire and Environmental) to CCTV and a full range of electrical services.

In March 2002 B Guarded achieved SSAIB (Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board) Accreditation. This accreditation is monitored regularly at 6 monthly intervals and at the last review in August 2002 Peter was commended for his ‘high degree of competency’. A further benefit of achieving this success is that the company is recognised by both Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies as an ‘Approved’ Security System Installer, which enables B Guarded to offer systems with the added security of a Police response to an alarm activation. In addition B Guarded is a member of both the Electro technical Certification Scheme (i.e. a register of Joint Industrial Board qualified electricians) and the Skills Register.

Whilst most of the B Guarded customer base consists of both commercial and domestic premises, Peter is especially pleased to provide services for Highway Nurseries and Allies Computing, both located in Framingham Pigot.

Being a fully qualified engineer, Peter actively seeks to maintain his training on up to date equipment. This fact, together with many years of experience enables Peter to provide a unique service to the customer based on quality, the latest technology and last but certainly not least, customer satisfaction. Each system is designed around customer requirements and is fit for the type of application needed, using quality British Standard approved equipment supplied locally.

In addition to a free site survey and consultation, the company is also able to provide 24 hour call out cover and a telephone help line to advise on all aspect of security.  When the situation demands the company, engages further qualified engineers to assist with a particular installation. One such installation was a computerized grain drying and storage complex at Halesworth, which shows the versatility within the company. Peter’s friendly one-to-one service and advice has been the strong foundation on which his company’s base has flourished.
